Birthed out of the need to bring the user perspective closer to service providers, UserHubAfrica Ltd is a user-centred Lab with a focus to provide corporate and non-corporate entities with a bird’s eye view on how users or clients appraise or perceive their products and/or services through various digital platforms. The company was incorporated in Ghana as a limited liability company in 2015 to provide holistic technology services and training in user experience across different business sectors in Africa.
Our key objectives are:
– To introduce and manage bespoke user experience services to our clients and the users’ of their products.
– To spearhead UX understanding, development and adoption in academia, research institutions and the corporate space in Africa.
Joseph Silveira Ofori Asamoah is currently pursuing his PhD in Neuromarketing at the University of Salford in the UK. His research area entrenched his notion that user experience (UX) practice is under served within the African continent and has a potential for growth in both research and commerce. His vision is for organizations to adopt a user centred approach in solving problems. His vast experience working in IT, Digital Marketing and UX would provide the needed technical insight to propel Userhub to greater heights.
Davidson Eli-Zafoe has worked as a Business Analyst /Manager for the past six years with strong skills in marketing, research, client relationship management, business and investment analysis. He has developed business proposals and contracts in the areas of Information Systems Security, Real Estate, Agriculture and Renewable Energy. With an IT background, he is passionate about user experience (UX) and how that forms the bedrock for the emerging technology space in Africa. His experience in business strategy and marketing is a great asset for Userhub Africa in our quest to go global.
Joseph-Albert Kuuire has worked as a Information Systems Security Consultant for the past four years. He is dynamic and has acquired skills in Web Design, IT security analysis and Software Quality Audits. Joseph is passionate about user design and user experience and believes that Africa is long overdue for best UI and UX practices. His skills and experience in design and software audits put him in a great space to help Userhub Africa capitalize the African market.
Board Of Advisors
Ariel Sim works in the nexus of human-centered design, technology, global affairs and business. Drawing from experience in public applied anthropology research and private R&D, she has worked with private companies, universities and non-profit organizations, looking for ways to ‘build bridges’ across industries and regions. She served in Technology & Humanitarian Affairs with the United Nations in Geneva, and was a Visiting Design Research Fellow with the iHub UX Lab in Nairobi for research on user experience and cross-cultural tech development. Working through the Open Society Foundations, Stanford d.school and Clinton Global Initiative Lead Program for various projects and design trainings, Ariel recently completed a Master of Global Affairs (MGA) at the Munk School of Global Affairs, where she focused on Internet governance, tech adoption and human-centered design.
